Furqan Mohammed spoke on Islamic estate planning at the Muslim Education Center (MEC) for the MCC Academy Dads Group, a gathering of fathers committed to protecting their families and legacies. The session was organized by PSG and sponsored by Lawyer Furqan.

Even though my legal practice now focuses exclusively on injury law, I believe deeply in giving back through community education.

Planning, Protection, and Responsibility

Islamic estate planning sits at the intersection of a standard estate plan (wills, trusts, and powers of attorney) and the rules Islam sets for how an estate is divided. Furqan has presented on the topic for years, and the questions it raises are practical ones: who will care for the children, how assets pass, and how to make sure a family’s wishes are followed.

Furqan thanked the dads who came with thoughtful questions and reflections. The group planned a follow-up “Dad Talk” session to keep the conversation going.

A Long-Running Topic for Furqan

Furqan has spoken on Islamic estate planning across the country, including a seminar at MCC Chicago on Islamic wills, trusts, and estate planning and a webinar on Islamic law and estate planning. He has also presented at the MEC on car insurance and accident liability.
